The promotional video features Star Wars: Andor showrunner Tony Gilroy explaining where the character of Cassian Andor is at this point in the series. As someone desperate to escape the Empire’s pursuit on Ferrix, he’s immediately open to the idea of leaving with Stellan Skarsgård’s Luthen Rael to join a heist against the tyrannical government. But while he’s certainly a good fit for the operation, given his already developed skills fighting the Empire, Cassian may have found himself in over his head....

This news comes from, of all places, a LEGO building set. The latest confidently-priced piece of blocky plastic goodness from the company features none other than Boba Fett’s memorable starship that’s been in the Star Wars series since The Empire Strikes Back, and for the first time, it no longer bears the Slave 1 moniker. Instead, the box simply names the vehicle “Boba Fett’s Starship.” This might be a surprising bit of news for fans who have known the ship ever since its 1980 debut, but this wasn’t a decision just made on a whim....

In a series of tweets, Aspyr clarified the situation to fans who were curious about how the eventual release of the Restored Content DLC would impact any ongoing game of Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic 2. One fan asked whether they will be able to use their ongoing save or if they’ll have to restart with a new game. Aspyr confirmed that any saves from the current version of Knights of the Old Republic 2 will not be compatible with the Restored Content DLC version of Star Wars: KOTOR 2....

Star Wars: The Acolyte was actually announced back in December of 2020, but details about the project remained sparse for quite a while. Most of what was known about The Acolyte was that it is set in the newly-established High Republic era, which ends about a hundred years prior to the original trilogy, with the birth of Darth Sidious himself, Sheev Palpatine. The series is also set to explore the shadowy workings of the Sith, who were underground and in hiding during this period of time, and now Deadline has just announced the second of two confirmed cast members....

Temuera Morrison famously starred as Jango Fett in Star Wars: Episode II and now plays his clone son (and most notorious bounty hunter in the galaxy) Boba in The Mandalorian and the upcoming Book of Boba Fett series. He recently sat down to discuss the new show and give fans an idea of what they can expect, and it turns out the story might be getting a little nostalgic....

Palpatine has been manipulating and orchestrating poor Anakin Skywalker’s life since before conception. Only when the opportunity arose did he then cast his dark tendrils over the life of Padmé Naberrie, a treasure in his Sith arsenal. Padmé was the fait accompli to Palpatine’s triumph over Anakin. Anakin’s actions and decisions to save her from death directly caused her death. This was exactly the way Palpatine planned it out from the beginning....

Disney has confirmed that Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker will be available on Disney Plus starting from May 4, 2020. May 4, known as “Star Wars Day” because of how closely “May the 4th” sounds like “may the force,” will also see the debut of several other pieces of Star Wars content. After providing some of the most inventive takes on the Star Wars franchise in recent years, it looks like Visions is already gearing up for its second go. While the recent rumor that Star Wars: Visions season 2 would launch in 2022 has turned out to be false, the other part suggesting that the studios were already hard at work on the follow-up appears to be more accurate. According to a recent Tweet posted on EA’s official Star Wars Twitter page, the developer intends to only focus on the original trilogy of films. The concept of an alpha testing stage for Battlefront 2 was leaked by a community manager a few days ago, but the leak didn’t give a timeline for the alpha. EA has yet to officially announce the alpha test, or provide any details on how long it will last. The email invite that went out stated the alpha will begin on June 29th, but it seems some gamers are already playing....

But although these hints were more than enough to get fans going giddy over the possibility of VR content, Criterion has now come out and denied these reports. In a new interview, Webster now explains that Star Wars Battlefront 2 will not support VR after all. “There is no VR,” states the developer, who explained that “it’s taken enough effort to make that.” Webster also said that “we could sit down and spend a good number of hours talking about where VR needs to get to in order to work with that, because in something like [Battlefront 2’s Starfighter Assault] you’re doing the job of a fighter pilot....

Star Wars Battlefront 2’s prequel novel, Star Wars Battlefront 2: Inferno Squad, will hit shelves on July 25th. Written by Christie Golden, Inferno Squad was once meant to be a sequel to Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, so it’s possible events from the film will still play a role in the novel’s plot. Star Wars Battlefront 2’s single player story campaign is said to span a great deal of the Star Wars timeline....

Dennis Brannvall, the design director for Star Wars Battlefront 2, went on Twitter to talk about possible content being added to the game’s Arcade Mode. The mode tasks players with tackling a variety of missions based on different characters and set pieces from the Star Wars universe. A curious fan on Twitter asked Branvall, “Just a question. While the online community is enjoying the Jetpack event, what can the offline players expect to happen before the next season?...

As of yet, however, players have only had a stream of updates to keep them informed of how the project is progressing. EA has teased would-be players with plenty of content, most recently the Battle of Jakku DLC pack. Although the news has seemed promising to some, many gamers were left wondering exactly when a Beta test of Star Wars Battlefront would launch, to get a real idea of how the title could be expected to play....

Unfortunately, the bad news about Star Wars Battlefront doesn’t end there. EA community manager Sledgehammer70 shared another disappointing update to the Star Wars Battlefront subbredit this week, letting gamers know the developer is omitting a major feature many figured would be available in the game. At first glance, that doesn’t seem like a very big deal. However, for gamers who have played the Battlefield series, this is a serious sin on the part of EA....

Set in the aftermath of the films’ prequel trilogy, Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order puts players in the boots of Cal Kestis, a Padawan on the run from the evil Empire, in the darkest hour of the Jedi Order. The action game blends the pulse-pounding lightsaber duels of the Star Wars movies with settings and a new narrative all its own, and to keep the surprises of the plot intact for players, EA will not offer a pre-launch trial period for subscribers to EA Access, citing the risk of spoiler leaks....

The popular coffee chain is offering a limited edition collection of food, drinks and merchandise, which will be available at Starbucks shops in South Korea between January 21 and February 6 as part of the “Be the Brightest Stars” campaign.
