EA has announced that the grand reveal for the game will be livestreamed for those that can’t make the event in person, on 13 April at 1:30pm Central (6:30pm GMT, 11:30am West, 2:30pm East). The stream will feature the head of Respawn Entertainment, Vince Zampella, and game director, Stig Asmussen, revealing a whole range of details for the game. The anticipation around the game is huge. It is rumoured to be a massive single-player title featuring lightsaber duels set after the events of Star Wars: Episode III – Revenge of the Sith....

All of this has come after the conclusion of the Skywalker Saga with The Rise of Skywalker in December 2019. The third and, for now, final trilogy in the main saga consisted of The Force Awakens and The Last Jedi before the threequel. Although there have been some references and hints to the era of the sequel trilogy era since then (in The Mandalorian in particular), Star Wars seems to have shifted focus to the prequel trilogy era....

It’s unclear exactly where the videos and screenshots are coming from, but one person with access says that the full game has leaked. The resulting video and screenshots are being shared through surrogates and “various Xbox groups.” There’s some speculation that the game file was loaded onto an old Xbox devkit that found its way into someone’s hands and that they uploaded the files and shared them in circumspect groups....

The Ferengi have had a rough time throughout the Star Trek franchise, from their questionably antisemitic character designs to some of the worst portrayals of a supposedly advanced culture found within science fiction. Deep Space 9, however, changed all this. The money-centric, large-eared people went from an obnoxious, morally defunct annoyance to questionably some of the most well-loved characters in Star Trek history. Space station bar tender Quark was at the center of this change that the writers wanted to implement, transforming the Ferengi, much like they did with the Klingons, from nefarious aliens to lovable and enjoyable people....

Unlike the remake, the original Knights of the Old Republic was created by BioWare and features early versions of BioWare’s patented brand of choice-based play. The remake is being made by Asypr, who did port the game to android previously. Even for those without interest in the Star Wars universe, Knights of the Old Republic was hailed as an all-around great game, and it informs BioWare’s modus operandi in future games like Mass Effect....

Presumably meant to air on Disney+ Day, (not Star Wars day, which is an important distinction), the reel briefly went live on the 11th before Disney swiftly corrected their mistake and took it back down. However, since this is the age of the internet and nothing ever stays hidden, some fans quick with a mouse (ironic) were able to grab some screenshots featuring previously unseen concept art from the Obi-Wan Kenobi series, and among other juicy tidbits, they managed to snag what is technically the first look at a rematch between Ewan McGregor’s Obi-Wan and Hayden Christensen’s Anakin Skywalker....

Obi-Wan Kenobi is here, and like every modern feature of the franchise, the fanbase is divided on its quality. Clips from the show, often back to back, will show up in social media posts as a method of praise or of criticism. Whether one is a fan of the show or not, it’s entirely possible that a lot of the show’s writing and pacing problems would have been addressed by a simple change of the medium....

Matches range from 5v5 battles to massive, multi-stage conflicts known as Fleet Battles. According to Discussing Film, Ben Caron and Susanna White have been hired to direct some of the Andor episodes. Both have a wealth of directorial experience under their belts, with Caron known for his work in The Crown, Skins, and Sherlock, and White for her work in Nanny McPhee Returns, Masters of Sex, Billions, and HBO’s Generation Kill.
