According to iNews24, the StarCraft HD remaster will feature the original game’s gameplay, but will also have updated graphics and a reworked user interface - presumably one more in line with StarCraft II. Further details on the supposed StarCraft HD remaster are not available at this time, but it is said that the game’s official announcement could come as soon as September. The StarCraft II World Championship Series finals are scheduled to take place from September 10th to 11th in Mexico City, so the announcement could take place then....

Mike Morhaime, CEO and cofounder of Blizzard Entertainment had this to say: StarCraft II will pickup the story right after the events of the original StarCraft, chronicling the tale of Jim Raynor in a huge Terran campaign. You’ll also get full access to StarCraft II’s multiplayer features, such as the matchmaking found in the current beta, along with the custom games system we’ve all grown to love. My micro skills were never quick enough to be great at StarCraft multiplayer, but I’ve always love the story line and the custom games....

Datsyuk had a tooth knocked out during the second period of Friday’s Stanley Cup playoff game against the Lightning. Unfortunately, Star Citizen has just hit another roadblock. Alex Mayberry, executive producer on the project, which he joined in 2013 after having spent 10 years at Blizzard, has left Cloud Imperium Games due to unknown personal reasons. Mayberry was considered an extremely high profile “get” for the Star Citizen development team at Cloud Imperium Games, due to his experience in the industry. As previously stated, Mayberry spent 10 years working at Blizzard, perhaps most notably as a producer for Diablo 3....

Star Citizen has yet again made headlines, as it has surpassed $141 million in crowdfunding this weekend. Just over 1.7 million backers have contributed to the project, with one particularly invested Star Citizen fan admitting to contributing over $30,000. Cloud Imperium Games founder Chris Roberts issued a “Happy New Year!” statement, thanking those who have supported Star Citizen. Roberts commented on how happy the team is to see such positive feedback on the game’s latest update, Alpha 2....

The Next Generation introduced the Borg right at the start of the series. They are made out to be at least one of the main villains of the show, through an encounter orchestrated by the near omnipotent Q. They continued to make appearances throughout Voyager, Deep Space 9, and even into more of the modern iterations into the franchise such as Picard. While never taking one specific form, with the occasional exception of the Queen, they act as the main nemesis for Picard himself....
