FLEURY IS FINE
Three days after melting down during a 4-3 overtime loss in Columbus, Fleury rebounded well, particularly with a nine-save first periods. He wasn't tested all that much — Columbus had 24 shots in all — but the fact that he didn't implode is a good sign for the Penguins. His reputation for postseason freak-outs is earned, and he's more than capable of having another at any given moment, but it didn't happen on Saturday — and Penguins fans, for whatever it's worth, were vocally behind him at the beginning and end of the game.
BOONE THE BOON
Boone Jenner had another goal for Columbus, his third of the series. The 20-year-old rookie, after Kris Letang put him on his back to the side of Pittsburgh's net, scrambled to his feet quickly enough to pot a loose puck. Like the rest of his team, Jenner struggled at 5-on-5, but he's been good for much of the series.
CROWE WATCH
Russell Crowe was back in the building; he's in Pittsburgh on a movie shoot and had previously watched Game 2. This time, Consol game ops put him on the video board after playing his speech from "Gladiator." It was cool.
