After getting hit in the mouth by Lightning defenseman Victor Hedman, Datsyuk checked Hedman into the board and was assessed a roughing penalty. What the officials missed, however, was that Hedman’s punch knocked out one of Datsyuk’s teeth. Datsyuk went to the penalty box, bloody mouth and all, while teammate Henrik Zetterberg skated along the perimeter of the rink to locate the missing tooth.

When Zetterberg found it, he picked it up and handed it to a team trainer.
The Lightning went on to a 5-2 victory to grab a 2-0 series lead. The game was marred by a nasty, multiplayer fight with 53 seconds remaining.
