Johnson, from Mater Dei High in Santa Ana, Calif., will choose between Arizona, Kentucky and USC, and the Wildcats are considered the leader.
"He's had enough," Mater Dei coach Gary McKnight told the Daily Star. "He just wants to get it over with. It went from being a lot fun to being too much, and he’s such a high profile kid. It was a lot of stress on him."

Johnson will make his choice at 4 p.m. ET, at the same time that Jahlil Okafor, Tyus Jones and Cliff Alexander, ranked Nos. 1, 2 and 5, respectively by Sporting News, will decide.
What kind of player is Johnson? SN’s Mike DeCourcy got a sense of what Johnson could do this past July.
“Is there anything Johnson doesn’t do well? He’s a high school player with the body of a five-year NBA vet. He’s an excellent athlete who plays with high energy. He’s got a pretty jump shot that, OK, still needs to become a bit more consistent. He has a high basketball IQ and strong sense of how to lead a team, one reason Mater Dei has won consecutive state titles in California.
“Johnson is ready to play at the college level now. To become a significant college star, which definitely is available to him, he needs to become a steady 3-point shooter who habitually hits in the 38-percent range.”
