One of said games is Star Trek DAC, a top-down arcade space shooter where you can blow each other up in classic Federation vs. Romulan style warfare using your favorite ships of the franchise. That game, based on the new film, came to the Xbox 360 in May for the sole reason of chiming in on the hype of the movie (that’s the only reason it was made).

Now, we know that it’s finally coming to the PC and PS3 this month.

The game on the Xbox 360 allowed teams of six players in death match style space combat and it could be played co-operatively (always a win here at Game Rant). However, the new versions for the PS3 and PC will include some new features in addition to the three match types from the original version: Team Assault, DeathMatch, Conquest. The new mode called “Survival” and it’s basically horde mode against continuous waves of enemy starships.

That’s not all though as the PS3/PC versions also come with a pair of new ship classes (Missile Corvette and Support Frigate) and exclusive to the PC version is support for the NVIDIA 3D Vision.

Have you played Star Trek DAC and if not, will you check it out on its two new homes later this month?
