The Battlefront 2 - Celebration Edition includes all previous updates and everything that can be unlocked via in-game Credits or premium Crystal currencies. That means this comprehensive package includes, according to EA’s latest Community Transmission blog post, “every Hero Appearance, Trooper Appearance, Emote, Voice Line and Victory Pose,” excepting a handful of pre-order exclusives. Since Star Wars Battlefront 2 has grown substantially since its initial release in November, 2017, that adds up to quite a bit of content, including more than 100 emotes and 90 victory poses.

Also included in the Battlefront 2 - Celebration Edition is new game content, coming in a December update, related to Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker. The biggest addition coming to the game is a new map, set on a jungle planet from Star Wars: Episode IX. While EA’s announcement didn’t name the planet, it’s most likely the world of Ajan Kloss, which looks to be home to a Resistance base where Rey and Leia can be seen training in The Rise of Skywalker trailer.

The Rise of Skywalker update to Battlefront 2 also includes four new characters, split between the Resistance and the First Order. Joining the First Order are the red-armored Sith Troopers, with their advanced weaponry, and the jetpack-toting Jet Troopers, which have a grenade-launching blaster rifle in addition to air superiority. The new Resistance fighters include a Gunner and Spy unit, each of which are new alien species from the upcoming movie.

The update, included in the Celebration Edition, will also feature new Rise of Skywalker appearances for Rey, Finn and Kylo Ren.

There are a handful of things that won’t be included in the Celebration Edition, however:

The Last Jedi skins for Kylo Ren and Rey, which were Deluxe Edition and pre-order exclusiveCustomizations that had to be earned during in-game events, including “Leia Princess of Alderaan” and “Farmboy Luke. "

In the announcement of Star Wars Battlefront 2 - Celebration Edition, publisher EA also provided a teaser of what’s ahead for the game in 2020, most notably two new heroes coming to the game: the ball-shaped astromech droid BB-8 and its evil counterpart BB-9E.

Star Wars Battlefront 2 - Celebration Edition will be available for digital download on PC, Xbox One and PlayStation 4 beginning Thursday, December 5. For anyone completely new to Battlefront 2, the comprehensive package will cost $39.99, while existing Battlefront players can upgrade for $24.99.

The Rise of Skywalker update will be released for Star Wars Battlefront 2 on December 17, with the new map coming out a few days later, on December 20.
