Star Wars: Battlefront 2 players have been eagerly awaiting the release of General Grievous for many months now. With Grievous’ release yesterday, combined with the future releases of Obi-Wan Kenobi, Count Dooku, and Anakin Skywalker, fans already had much to look forward to as DICE’s pre-planned, Clone Wars, post-launch DLC narrowed to a close in the coming months. However, the anticipation for new characters seems to only be increasing as one Reddit user, Kekstreamer, pointed out that two of Grievous’ dialogue phrases are labeled for Ahsoka and Padme.

While this possible hint at the additions of Ahsoka and Padme is certainly not confirmed, it is highly likely considering that EA itself has confirmed that DICE has more unannounced content planned that goes beyond Star Wars: Battlefront 2’s DLC roadmap. This roadmap includes the free DLC additions of Obi-Wan Kenobi in November and Count Dooku in January, and concludes with Anakin Skywalker in February.

Assuming Ahsoka and Padme are part of DICE’s future plans, two new villains to counteract them are more than likely to follow. EA has gone on the record of stating that its process of adding heroes involve not only the initial heroes but also their counterparts, hence Obi-Wan and Grievous being added so close together, as well as Dooku and Anakin. Regardless of what DICE and EA’s plans are for the future of Star Wars: Battlefront 2, players can now enjoy playing as the ruthless droid general, Grievous, as well as Obi-Wan, Dooku, and Anakin in the near future.
