As seen below in the latest trailer for Star Wars Battlefront 2, fans are encouraged to play the beta this week, with those who pre-ordered the title getting early access starting on Wednesday, October 4, 2017, while the beta officially opens up for everyone on Friday, October 6 through October 9, 2017. The different modes that are to be available in the beta are Assault on Theed, Strike on Maz’s Castle, Starship Assault on Fondor, and Arcade Mode.
In addition to simply taking part in Star Wars Battlefront 2’s beta, those who do will be able to load up the full game and also get a loot crate. For those interested in the contents of the loot crate, fans who play in the beta will receive credits, a Darth Maul emote, as well as a Storm Trooper card.
As it so happens, the multiplayer beta trailer for Star Wars Battlefront 2 also provides a decent idea of what fans should expect out of the full version of the title once it launches later this year, as the clip teases a fight across all eras of the science fiction franchise. However, it fails to mention that the title will also contain its own single-player story campaign that puts players in the boots of Commander Iden Versio, leader of the Imperial Inferno Squad, as she seeks revenge on behalf of the fallen Emperor Palpatine.
All things considered, it will be interesting to see just how many people go on to take part in Star Wars Battlefront 2’s beta and whether or not it will blast the user count for the 2015 version’s pre-launch trial out of the stratosphere. The beta’s player count for 2015’s Battlefront was quite high at 9 million folks overall, but considering all of the new features being added to the forthcoming sequel, its beta could go on to be the most successful one of the franchise yet.
Star Wars Battlefront 2 is set to launch on November 17, 2017 for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.
