The Millennium Falcon and Slave I are both sturdier, faster, and carry bigger arsenals than the game’s standard ships, but being so powerful also makes them priority targets. Regarding their attraction of enemies and the tactics players should employ while using them, Star Wars Battlefront’s Senior Designer Björn Sundell said, “Don’t be surprised if you suddenly spot multiple foes at your tail when piloting these ships. During playtests we’ve noticed how excited players get to be the one taking down the Millennium Falcon or Slave I. You should always keep both offense and defense in mind.”

The Slave I is comprised of armaments that sync up perfectly with the allure of its enigmatic bounty hunter pilot, as it’s fitted with Ion Cannons, Proton Torpedoes, and a jammer that masks the ship on the mini-map and disengages adversaries’ targeting locks. Unfortunately, DICE didn’t share any additional information on the Millennium Falcon, but at least the trailer offers up some of the lovable rogue’s snappy dialogue from the original trilogy.

On the whole, the most recently released footage for Battlefront is a succinct encapsulation of the Fighter Squadron mode, which will pit 20 gamers and 20 AI adversaries against one another in massive aerial combat. The Millennium Falcon and Slave I will work the same way in which their counterpart characters do in the ground-based moes, in that the units can be acquired by nabbing and activating tokens for a single spawn. Should players get blasted out of the stratosphere while piloting the Hero and Villain ships, they’ll be put back into their preassigned flyer chosen at the beginning of the match.

With less than a month to go before Star Wars Battlefront releases, DICE and Electronic Arts are definitely primed to ramp up promotion to an even higher degree, so fans should expect to see a lot more advertising for the game in the coming weeks. Plus, after recently detailing the three different game modes of Battles, Training Missions, and Heroes vs. Villains, it’s highly likely that developers aren’t completely finished revealing what all the title will contain.

Star Wars Battlefront is set to release on November 17, 2015 for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.
