Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order isn’t without its issues, but to many, it represents one of the best Star Wars games of the past few years. It wasn’t anything groundbreaking narrative-wise, but it has solid lightsaber combat, good use of The Force, and endearing characters. Greez isn’t as popular as Cal Kestis or Merrin, but he’s a vital part of the game. He’s the salty comedic relief that doubles as the pilot; however, unlike other Star Wars pilots and scoundrels like Han Solo, Greez doesn’t find himself in combat.

As Cal Kestis explores the various planets in Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order, Greez remains back on the ship and never finds himself in combat for any reason. So, it’s pretty hilarious that on the game’s box art Greez holds a blaster (as pointed out by Redditor superrobotpenguin and found by Screen Rant). It’s obviously not some major plot hole or anything, but it is a pretty funny inconsistency with Greez’s role in the game. At the same time, it would have been awkward to have Greez on the cover without something happening, so a blaster makes sense. However, some argued that a salt shaker would be more fitting for his character, which just adds to the hilarity of the situation.
Speaking of blasters, it does seem there are some major changes coming to Star Wars Jedi: Survivor’s combat. A recent toy of Cal Kestis shows him wielding a blaster, adding some new ranged options to his arsenal if he appears in the game like this. It is just a toy and a mistake could have been made, but it’s interesting nonetheless. Perhaps the sequel will even give Greez a blaster.
A recent report suggests fans will learn more about Star Wars Jedi: Survivor in December. EA is apparently focusing on smaller, more dense marketing cycles for some of its upcoming games, as it is said to release in March 2023. That’s only a few months, but that’s also plenty of time to learn everything fans need to know about the game, including whether Cal or Greez will wield a blaster or not.
Star Wars Jedi: Survivor is in development.
