Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order has managed to stay relevant in the mind of gamers thanks to it just recently landing on Google Stadia. Fans of the game now have more reason to play it again, as it will be getting an upgrade for the newest consoles that is expected to make an already good-looking game, look and perform better. Since the announcement, there have been guesses on when that upgrade will arrive but this is the first hint from a retailer on a release date.

That hint comes by way of two Brazillian retail sites, Submarino and Americanas. Both of the sites have the same day listed as when the new version will arrive, further lending credence to the leak. Both sites have the date listed as June 26, which certainly falls in line with “this summer.” However, that day would also appear to be a bit earlier than most in the Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order community expected.
While some in the community thought the game would come later in the summer, some thought Fallen Order would take advantage of May 4 with a shadow drop. That day, of course, is special in the fanbase because it’s often referred to as “May The Fourth.” While the upgraded version of the game didn’t arrive on the Star Wars holiday, it won’t be that much longer if the leaked date is accurate.
There is one more aspect that lends some credence to the retailers’ listing, in that both are considered official resellers by Microsoft. While both listings are only for the PS5 version of the game, EA and Respawn went on record as assuring players that the upgrade will arrive on both new consoles at the same time.
Of course, this wouldn’t be the first time that a supposed release date has shown up on a retailer only to later be wrong. There isn’t a way to know if the June 26 date is right until Electronic Arts and/or Respawn confirm that’s when players will officially get the Xbox Series X and PS5 upgrade.
Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order is available on PC, PS4, Stadia, and Xbox One, with PS5 and Xbox Series X/S versions set to release this summer.
