Thanks to those appearances Isaac has gone on to clinch other roles in movies like X-Men: Apocalypse, Dune and even as Solid Snake in the upcoming Metal Gear Solid movie if rumors are to be believed. However, it turns out acting wasn’t always Isaac’s only passion, and the internet never really forgets anything.

As one crafty Twitter user recently pointed out, back in the late ’90s to early 2000s, Isaac was quite busy trying to make it as a musician when he played lead guitar and sang for the Miami-based ska-punk band The Blinking Underdogs. Though there’s very little footage of the band’s performances, the group did play as an opening act for bands like Green Day and The Mighty Mighty Bosstones.
Isaac stayed with The Blinking Underdogs at least until 2001 when he was accepted into Juilliard’s acting school in New York, a move that was definitely vindicated over time for the next two decades. As far as his look during his time as a musician, he very much looks the same, albeit younger and edgier, just like one would expect for the frontman of a ska band.
A long time has passed since then, but Isaac is still somewhat close to music as he one of his early breakout roles was playing a struggling folk singer in Inside Llewyn Davis, for which he received critical acclaim in his performance. Those curious would also find a couple of performances from Isaac’s recent times, though sadly none of them are as part of a ska or punk act.
In all honesty, Isaac is probably very busy juggling acting projects, which include being touted by Disney to star in their planned streaming exclusive Moon Knight, an erratic Marvel hero much in the same vein as Deadpool, that just sounds perfect for the lead guitarist and singer of a band.
