Thanks to an uncovered press kit document, anyone interested can now see the titles of the Star Wars: Tales of the Jedi episodes themselves and even the writers and directors behind each one. Some of the more involved Star Wars faithful out there will likely be overjoyed at the fact that Lucasfilm favorite Dave Filoni is pretty directly involved with all 6 episodes, given his well-received track record with the franchise. But those interested should also take note of the other folks involved behind the scenes, even if they might not recognize the names at a glance.

The document, discovered by users on the Star Wars Leaks subreddit, lists the episode titles as “Life and Death,” “Justice,” “The Sith Lord,” “Practice Makes Perfect,” “Coda,” and “Choices.” Filoni is involved with each, usually as a writer and executive producer. But he’s joined by several veterans of shows like Star Wars: The Clone Wars and Star Wars Rebels, which should perk up a few ears. Pretty much every animated Star Wars series is represented here by people who worked on them, and that’s a good thing.
“Life and Death” will be directed by Nathaniel Villanueva, who directed several episodes of The Clone Wars and The Bad Batch and served in the art department for both shows along with Rebels. The next 4 have Saul Ruiz at the helm, who boasts directing experience with each of the aforementioned series and even Star Wars Resistance. The final episode brings in Charles Murray as director and writer, who not only wrote for Star Wars Rebels and some of the best-received later episodes of The Clone Wars but also served as a producer for Netflix’s (and now Disney Plus’) excellent Easter egg-laden superhero series Luke Cage. This episode also includes Élan Murray in the writing position.
Aside from the writers and directors, the document also confirmed the voice cast for Tales of the Jedi. Many of the voice actors are expected, with a number of The Clone Wars veterans reprising their roles. This includes Ashley Eckstein reprising Ahsoka Tano, Corey Burton as Count Dooku, TC Carson as Mace Windu, Phil LaMarr as Bail Organa, Matt Lanter as Anakin Skywalker, and James Arnold Taylor as Obi-Wan Kenobi. They’ll be joined by the Borderlands movie’s Janina Gavankar as Ahsoka’s mother Pav-ti, Ian McDiarmid once again playing Darth Sidious/Palpatine, and Clancy Brown as an unnamed Inquisitor. Perhaps most notably, Liam Neeson’s son Micheál Richardson will play a young Qui-Gon Jinn, while Neeson himself will reprise his role as the more aged version.
It sounds like a lot to look forward to, and between the cast and crew behind each episode, there’s bound to be plenty of the high-quality that fans have come to expect from the animated Star Wars offerings. Here’s hoping Tales of the Jedi does something fresh and new with the material it’s been given.
