Many Starbucks stores were closed in the wake of the COVID-19 outbreak. As branches began reopening, many have introduced modified services and implemented several safety protocols, including mandatory face coverings and social distancing as well as enhanced cleaning measures at all of its branches.

“Since Mar. 16, many Starbucks locations have been serving their communities at the drive-thru. While some locations may continue to operate only at the drive-thru, others will expand their service to include grab-and-go or entryway pickup. Customers can order at the drive-thru or pick up an order placed ahead on the Starbucks app,” the company advised on its website.

“We will continue to make proactive decisions that are grounded in transparency and science. Store partners are equipped with the tools and resources they need to adjust their stores operations and procedures as needed as we all navigate this dynamic situation,” the company noted in early December.

“We continue to closely monitor guidance from local and national health authorities and will update our store procedures to adhere to the most effective health and safety standards,” the company added.

See the Starbucks website for more information about modifications on store operations amid the ongoing outbreak.
