RELATED: All Stardew Valley Bachelors, Ranked

Elliott is one of the characters that players are able to befriend and romance in Stardew Valley. An aspiring writer with a hut on the beach and a naturally romantic side, Elliott is well worth getting to know, and his personality and backstory are a draw for many fresh-faced farmers new to the Valley. This guide will help players learn exactly how to reel him in!

Elliott’s Regular Schedule For Every Season

Each character in Stardew Valley has a schedule that will change depending on things like the day or the time of the year. Elliott’s schedule is one of the easiest to remember of any Stardew Valley character - perfect for busy farmers that don’t have the time to chase characters around for most of the day! He also has very few disruptions to his schedule, which is another pro. The only thing players really need to remember is that on Summer 9, Elliott will visit the Clinic in town for his annual check-up.

The Best Gifts for Elliott: Likes, Loves, Dislikes, and Hates

Everyone loves receiving gifts, and the inhabitants of Stardew Valley are certainly no different. Giving gifts to players’ favorite characters benefits everyone, too, but it’ll benefit the player most of all - giving gifts means raising friendship, and raising friendship means receiving treats in the mail and, most importantly, a closer relationship with the person they’re giving gifts to.

Elliott’s taste in gifts is just as simple as his schedule, so there’s thankfully not too much to remember. It also helps that many of his liked and loved gifts revolve around the ocean or are supplies that many players will naturally find on their farm, like Duck Feathers. His disliked gifts are similarly easy to remember and avoid too, making Elliott a good choice for early-game befriending!

Movie Theater: Elliott’s Favorites

With the Movie Theater being added in Update 1.4 came the ability to invite the players’ favorite characters to go see a movie. Taking advantage of the Movie Theater and everything it has to offer is simple; all the player has to do is visit the Movie Theater and buy a ticket for 1,000g. If the player would also like to bring someone else along to see a movie, buy a ticket and gift it to a character to invite them along. Then, show up at the Movie Theater at some point on the same day.

While at the Theater, players can choose different movies and concessions that will impact each character differently. By inviting a character to see a movie they love and by buying them snacks they’ll enjoy, the player will receive a huge boost to their friendship with their chosen partner.

Elliott’s Heart Events

Heart events occur when the player becomes close enough to a character they’ve gotten lots of friendship points with. They’re something of a reward for achieving such a close relationship. Elliott has several heart events, beginning at two and ending at fourteen. Some have specific requisites to trigger, so be sure to plan accordingly.

Two Hearts: enter Elliott’s home while Elliott is there. Four Hearts: enter the Stardrop Saloon between 3pm and 10pm while Gus is there. Six Hearts: enter Elliott’s home while Elliott is there. Eight Hearts: after receiving a letter from Elliott in the mail, visit the Museum between 1pm and 7pm on any day. Ten Hearts: after receiving a letter from Elliott in the mail, go to the beach on a day with clear weather between 7am and 1pm. Fourteen Hearts: leave the Farmhouse between 6am and 3pm on a day when there will be no events occurring for the next 8 consecutive days.

What Happens After Marrying Elliott?

After the player and Elliott are married, he will move into the Farmhouse alongside the player. He will add his own small room to the right of the Farmhouse with several bookshelves and barrels, and he’ll set up a small garden behind the farmhouse where he can be found reading. His schedule doesn’t change very much after marriage, and on Mondays, he will continue to visit the beach.

On rainy mornings and mornings when Elliott will stay inside all day, he may offer the player Coffee. On rainy evenings, he’ll make the player a choice of Baked Fish, Chowder, Fish Stew, or Fried Calamari. On New Years’ Eve - Winter 28 - he will give the player a bottle of Wine to celebrate the new year.

Stardew Valley is currently available for Mobile, PC, PS4, PlayStation Vita, Switch, and Xbox One.
