Haley in Stardew Valley

If players want to get closer to Haley, they will need to give her gifts that she likes and participate in her story events. While some of her loved gifts can be difficult to obtain, one, in particular, is easy to hoard and grow. Players, however, should note that they can only give Stardew Valley characters up to two gifts per week. The only exception to this is on their birthdays, where players can give characters gifts that don’t go toward the weekly count. Haley’s birthday in this case is Spring 14.

In order to quickly get closer to Haley, players are recommended to focus on giving her only loved gifts. These gifts are:

Coconut

Fruit Salad

Pink Cake

Sunflower

Golden Pumpkin

Magic Rock Candy

Pearl

Rabbit’s Foot

While every other character in Stardew Valley will love a Prismatic Shard, Haley is the exception to this item. If players give one to her, she will react negatively due to it being included in her hated gifts. Instead, players are recommended to grow sunflowers as soon as they can and hoard a collection of them to give to Haley over time. Due to them often giving seeds back upon being harvested they are the best for gifting overall.

If players don’t have the above items, players can also give Haley some of her liked gifts. These gifts are:

Daffodil

Artisan Goods (Except for Oil and Void Mayonnaise)

Cooked Items (Except for Fried Egg, Bread, Strange Bun, and Seafoam Pudding)

Flowers

Foraged Minerals (Except for Quartz)

Fruit Tree Fruits

Gems (Except for the Prismatic Shard)

Life Elixer

Maple Syrup

After raising the relationship with Haley, there are certain events that players can view depending on the time, season, and how close they are to Haley. These events are:

Two Heart Event - Players must enter Haley’s house while both Haley and Emily are there. When prompted, players should pick the option referring to a “one weekly job.”

Four Heart Event - Players must enter Haley’s home while she’s there. The next text choice should have players pick “Yes” if they want to continue growing closer to Haley.

Six Heart Event - Players must go to the beach between 10 AM and 4 PM during any season except for winter. The correct choice involves players apologizing.

Eight Heart Event - Players must enter Cindersap Forest in between 10 AM and 4 PM during any season except for winter. There are no choices to make.

Ten Heart Event - Players must enter Haley’s home while she’s there. The correct choice is “It looks great,” but the next choice determines where the route will go. Trying to kiss her after will trigger a romantic scene.

Fourteen Heart Event - Players must first enter the town between 8 AM and 3 PM while it’s not raining. After this, players will need to enter their home between 6:20 AM and 5:00 PM a day after the entering town step. Then, players need to enter the town with a chocolate cake between 8 AM and 3 PM while it’s not raining.
